Headbands, Graffiti and Big Gulps.

Last week I went to the UCB Theater in the East Village. I definitely recommend going to this place. I literally have taken everyone of my friends here and tell everyone about it. Anyways, to get to the point, headbands have become my new best friends. I find them to be an easy accessory to make any outfit chic. I usually take scarves I have laying around and wrap them around my head. They have definitely helped me out on my bad hair days this summer. What accessories have you guys been into lately?

Style Icon: Solange Knowles

Solange Knowles is ahead of the game when it comes to style and it seems so effortlessly done. I love that she is not afraid to use colors and prints that people wouldn't dare to wear. Her sister might be the superstar, but it looks like Solange  has had some influence in the way Beyonce has recently been dressing. I think she is definitely one to watch for future trends.

Bring out your high waisted jeans, floral dresses, plaid tops and minimalist ways because the nineties are here. This resurrection of the nineties has been going on for a couple of years.  First it was the grunge of the early nineties and I've seen from the FW13 shows it will eased into the effortless minimalism that this decade had. As the last decade of the twentieth century, it was a decade of  innovation and reinvention. I'm getting such a flashback to the 90s,  I even wanna snag me a pair of these ----> topshop.com

Festival Frocks: Dress Edition

Image from Style.com

With festival season coming up, I thought it would be perfect to post something on it. Festivals have become a culture of its own and know you won't understand it until you experience it first hand.  I've been going to music festivals for a while now and what I wear is planned out as early as possible. These are some looks that caught my eye when I was looking for dresses appropriate for a music festival. I have yet to where one, but a dress seems pretty comfortable for this all-day affair. I think everyone should go to at least one festival; it's a great experience.
Happy Dancing!

Style Icon: Alexa Chung

There are so many more outfits I could have chosen for this Alexa Chung style post, but these kind of just stood out at me. Alexa Chung has been a style icon of mine for a while. When I was younger, everything she did I wanted to emulate. I discovered her on her show "It's On With Alexa Chung" and from then on I was in love. She was quirky, but in a way that still made her attractive.  Guys want to date her and girls wanna be her. She showed me it was okay to be yourself, no matter who you are and how you act.  She can wear anything and make it look good. I guess that's just one of the perks of being a model. She's beautiful on the outside and seems to be on the inside. She experiments with clothes, which I admire, but it still has an "Alexa aesthetic".
