AlexanderWang x H&M

Some exciting news was revealed at Coachella this past week. The designer collaborating with H&M this year is Alexander Wang. I can't even express how excited I am to see this collection and, of course, purchase some pieces. Alexander Wang hands down is one of my favorite designers. His pieces are not that pricey and are always effortlessly chic.

Wang has found his niche in elevating sportswear and making basic, wearable clothing look so fashionable. This should be interesting  since H&M mostly sells basic, wearable yet stylish  clothing as well. The other cool thing about this collab is that Alexander Wang is the first American designer that H&M has teamed up with for the collaboration. I am looking forward to see what AWang comes up with.

“I am honored to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to push boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle,” Alexander Wang said.

In January I landed this amazing internship with this PR company. One of this company's clients is a well know nail polish company which did nails for many of the New York Fashion Week Shows. This company did nails for a lot of shows at New York Fashion Week. During my internship, I got supplies for all the fashion shows, brought the supplies to the shows, work at the the fashion shows. At the show, I either checked in press or saw that the models had their nails done. At the end of these shows, us interns even got to see them and hobnob with the who's who of fashion. This opportunity was so exciting because who gets to see fashion shows everyday and network with fashion industry peeps. The overall experience was so amazing and I cannot wait to see what's in store for me and my fashion career.
Before this internship, I did not even know nails were such a big deal but they are. Designers and nail artist spend a lot of time on the colors, design and overall look of the nail to make sure it is cohesive with the designer's collection. This internship was so much work but I wouldn't trade the experience for the world. It was a lot of late nights at the office and a lot of manual labor but that hard work paid off.  Now I intern part time for the company and I'm learning so much more about the public relations industry.

Some of the setlists have been announced for music festivals, which is getting me so excited for summer and festival season. I usually see the Kimono/Shawl trend at festivals which made me think of doing this post. This trend is not really new, but I just received one from my friend and I cannot wait to pair it with something. I consider Kimonos the outerwear for the summer. They are so light and add a chicness to a simple outfit. I'm sure I will be wearing it all summer.

Essentials: A Leather Jacket

A leather jacket is a great way to bring a coolness to any outfit. If you just feel like wearing leggings and a t-shirt, you just throw on a leather jacket and it adds a sudden edge to your look. I haven't found the perfect jacket yet, but I'm on the hunt. I just ordered a leather jacket that I'm gonna try out first before I splurge on a really nice one. I definitely think a leather jacket is an essential in everyones wardrobe. What do you guys think? Let me know what other pieces you consider an essential in anyone's wardrobe.

Holiday Attire.

Okay so it's officially the holiday season and I'm skipping right over christmas to plan my New Years Eve outfit. As much as I love Christmas, I honestly don't dress up for it. But New Years Eve is a different story. This year I want something that says glam but still sticks to my style aesthetic. I also want something that will keep me warm in this brisk New York weather.

These are my top picks for NYE.

Headbands, Graffiti and Big Gulps.

Last week I went to the UCB Theater in the East Village. I definitely recommend going to this place. I literally have taken everyone of my friends here and tell everyone about it. Anyways, to get to the point, headbands have become my new best friends. I find them to be an easy accessory to make any outfit chic. I usually take scarves I have laying around and wrap them around my head. They have definitely helped me out on my bad hair days this summer. What accessories have you guys been into lately?
